So I was very tired and needed to sleep but the only resting spot close to me was a garage. So I friggin' bought it just to be able to sleep in it. Only, I couldn't. I was standing RIGHT on the icon but nothing happened. I kept going back and forth for a while (and I was continuously fined for not respecting the driving times in the meantime) but nothing, I just couldn't start resting. Why
for ETS I have fatigue simu disabled and to stay within the realms of reality when on a long haul and have reached my driving time limit I pull over for rest time at a conveniant spot and use the "set time" in the dev console and advance the time 9 hours it works perfect all the time America has differant driving/rest rules I run a day cab in ATS. For me, the purpose of the sleep isn't justified, so I don't even bother. With a day cab, I should only be able to sleep at hotels. But I would love to have a sleep and sleep anywhere. It would get rid of the sleep trigger point if we can sleep anywhere with a sleeper. It increases the time between required rests from 11 hours to 18 hours and it shortens the amount of time sleeping from 9 hours to 6 hours. Unlike in ATS, they aren't always labeled on the navigation map in this game. If you look for the P sign on roads, you might find an unlabeled place to sleep. Something I found out. I always felt ATS had more places to sleep, and this is probably why.
1) Truck washes at truckstops. 2) sometimes there are areas where you gotta sleep but nowhere in sight to sleep. Real over the road truckers use the shoulders all the time for resting so that would be a cool addition to have. 3) Adding free roam on foot along with character customization, food and drink purchasing and storage on the trucks to
